Jean-Baptiste Grangier is focused on space exploration, the imaginaries that nourish and derive from it: geopolitical and ecological context of the years 1960-70, territorial claims, colonization, utopia of a planetary government, space race during Cold War, planet Earth becomes uninhabitable , space tourism, etc. Following the work of Laurent Grasso or Nicolas Moulin, he develops fiction like "ruins upside down" crossed by a romantic spirit like Hubert Robert's paintings.
The resulting works are photographs, films and objects that witness this tension between utopian belief and the reality of ecological discourse.
